Campbell Oil Company Announces Major FBO Infrastructure Upgrades Across the East Coast 


Phillips 66 Aviation Marketer and Fuel Distributor Invests in the Future of Regional Aviation with Expanded Fuel and Hangar Services

Campbell Oil Company, a Phillips 66® Aviation marketer and fuel distributor, announced a series of expansions at fixed-base operators (FBOs) across the East Coast. These enhancements reflect the company’s continued commitment, alongside Phillips 66® Aviation, to strengthen regional aviation facilities, support communities, and improve services for pilots and operators.

Developments Empowering FBOs to Elevate Operations and Deliver Elevated Customer Experiences

Several airports across North Carolina and New York to undergo developments, including:

Duplin County Airport (KDPL) in Kenansville, North Carolina, has completed the paving of its connector taxiway A3, which features upgraded lighting and new signage. The airport is currently in the early stages of the new fuel farm project, which would include a 20,000-gallon Jet-A tank and a 12,000-gallon Avgas tank. Additional developments include the construction of a new 12,000 square-foot corporate hangar with 3,000 square feet of customizable office/flex space, a 60 by 70-foot maintenance facility, and plans for a new apron design. These updates are reflective of Duplin County Airport’s commitment to operating and maintaining a safe, efficient and professional facility.

Suffolk Executive Airport (KSFQ) in Riverhead, New York, is undergoing construction of a new 14-bay T-hangar, expanding the hangar capacity and offerings for based aircraft.

Mount Airy/Surry County Airport  (KMWK) in Mount Airy, North Carolina, has completed construction on a new 10,000-square-foot terminal, offering new and improved crew rest facilities and space for a planned restaurant, expected to open in early 2026. A new fuel farm is also planned for late 2026, featuring a 10,000-gallon self-serve Avgas tank, a 12,000-gallon Jet-A tank, and a new Avgas fuel truck. These projects are creating a foundation for Mount Airy/Surry County Airport to strive in the coming years.

Lumberton Regional Airport (KLBT) in Lumberton, North Carolina, is currently constructing a new 12-unit T-hangar, along with a dual-sided box hangar measuring 140 feet wide by 85 feet deep that will include office space. The project ensures the comfort and satisfaction of patrons and pilots who fly through the Lumberton Airport. Plans also feature an expanded parking lot and the addition of MOGAS fuel services, expected to be available by mid-July 2026.

Halifax–Northampton Regional Airport (KIXA) in Halifax, North Carolina, is advancing several key infrastructure improvements, including the extension of its taxiway apron, upgraded runway fencing, and the replacement of out-of-date lighting with energy-efficient LED systems. The airport will also enhance fueling operations with the addition of an over-the-wing dispensing system while maintaining its current single-point system.
