Phillips 66 is donating $250,000 to the American Red Cross to support ongoing relief efforts for the devastating wildfires across the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles.
The donation will provide immediate assistance and support to communities affected by the wildfires. Phillips 66 operates the Borger Refinery in Borger, Texas, 50 miles northeast of Amarillo. The company also maintains significant midstream operations in the area.
Phillips 66 has confirmed that all its employees in the area are safe, and the refinery continues to operate. Several employees have experienced home and property damage, and the company is assisting those who have been affected.
“Phillips 66 is committed to supporting the communities where we operate, especially in times of need,” said Todd Denton, Senior Vice President, HSE and Field Operations Support. “Partnering with the American Red Cross, we can help these communities recover and rebuild stronger than before.”
Two wildfires merged on Feb. 29, creating the largest blaze in Texas history and burning more than one million acres across two states. In response, the American Red Cross is on the front lines, offering shelter, food and emotional support to those affected and displaced, as well as supporting emergency personnel battling the fires.
