Education Equity

Literacy and workforce preparedness are the foundation of individual achievement and our nation’s economic future.

We invest in education at every level, beginning in elementary and continuing through post-secondary education. Examples include:

  • Elementary school: Our support of ST Math provides an interactive, individualized curriculum.
  • Middle school: Project Lead The Way’s STEM curriculum provides hands-on project-based learning.
  • High school: We fund community scholarships that are STEM- and industry-focused.
  • Technical schools and universities: We offer scholarships, industry-specific training, internships and apprenticeships, and recruiting programs.

Living Our Core Values

Safety & Well-Being

We are committed to protecting our communities and believe preparedness is crucial for safety and security. Our commitment to safety includes water safety programs focused on learn-to-swim initiatives and water safety education offered through community partners such as the Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCAs, and colleges and universities with swim facilities.

We also support organizations that provide the services and care needed to ensure that people’s basic needs are met, including:

  • Local fire and police departments.
  • Food banks and organizations that provide community-specific needs.
  • Natural disaster response and recovery support.

Strengthening Environmental Resilience

Environment

We invest in nature conservation and biodiversity because we respect and value their role in our daily lives.

Our efforts support flood mitigation, nature preservation, wildlife support, overall ecosystem enhancement and costal conservation, including:

  • Restoration and improvement of local parks and recreation areas.
  • Pollinator protection initiatives.
  • Coastal conservation efforts.
  • Tree planting and creating and revitalizing of green spaces.

Targeting Specific Needs

Social Advancement

We invest in social advancement programs because working in collaboration to solve our communities’ most pressing needs requires the sharing of knowledge, expertise and human capital.

We understand that a thriving society requires civic and business engagement. Our efforts include:

  • Support for United Way programs in our communities.
  • Habitat for Humanity for home builds.
  • Support for youth and family services for at risk populations.

While Phillips 66 does not accept grant requests, we proactively identify and select organizations to support in our communities. Contact the Social Impact team with other questions.
